As a music educator, privately and publicly, I offer personal/group voice lessons utilizing basics of piano, musical notation and vocal tone
mapping here in the greater Chicago region. Additionally, I am privileged to serve as the Rehearsal Conductor for the Chicago Chapter of the National Children's Choir, based in Washington D.C. Other services: Adjudication, Choral Seminars, Public Speaking seminars on Vocal Tone Mapping, and Suzuki Music in Motion Classes for all ages: chicago.voce@gmail.com
I am a firm believer in modeling growth and performance as a Fine Arts Teacher. Here are a few samples of my work.
First, the Chicago Chorale, which I conducted in rehearsal as well as sang. Solo work: Tombeau dans un Parc, Melodies Passageres, Samuel Barber. New music: John Carbon's song cycle, Letters From Abigail, analyzed in my master's thesis. Also included is a 2014 short snippet of my orchestral conducting for the Tony Award winning musical, The Drowsy Chaperone. And in April 2013, I performed as chamber work soloist "Outside the Box" music festival at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, an original work by SIUC alum, Mr. Matthew Blessing. Choral samples are from May, 2019.
